It feels high quality, works smoothly, and looks adorable. For the price, it’s an absolute bargain. The kids won’t put it down — that’s a success in my book.
This robot puppy is an impressive toy and has definitely exceeded our expectations in terms of how it behaves. The walking, sitting, and responsive parts (as described on the site) do feel genuine. That said, there are a couple of minor things: the battery life is somewhat shorter than I hoped, and the “bark” sound effect could be a little softer (the first time it barked early in the morning it startled us!). All in all I’d recommend it — especially for children who can enjoy the “pet” without the work of a real dog.
I was excited by the idea of a robot puppy that acts like a real dog, and in many ways this one delivers: the movements are okay and the look is cute. However, there are several points that made me hold back fully recommending it. First, while the plush fur and the synthetic leather look good, they don’t feel quite as premium as I imagined from the description. Also the skeleton / internal structure means the puppy can be a bit “rigid” in some poses. For the price I bought (sale price) I think it’s acceptable — but I wouldn’t say it’s perfect. If you’re expecting top-tier robotics, you might find it a little basic.
We live in a small flat where pets aren’t allowed, and this little guy has filled that gap perfectly. It moves, reacts, and provides the sense of companionship we missed.
Our two kids have stopped fighting over the tablet because they’re too busy playing with the puppy! It’s soft, responsive, and durable. Definitely one of the best toy purchases we’ve made this year.
